Job Description
Senior Public Health Practitioner – Substance Misuse and Alcohol
£23.55 per hour, 37 hours per week

The postholder will have a key role in improving health and well-being and reducing health inequalities for the Sunderland population in line with the local priorities, Healthy City Plan, and the joint strategic needs assessment (JSNA).

Main Objectives
• To lead on the commissioning, development, and implementation of an agreed range of public health programmes relating to substance misuse and alcohol.
• To plan, monitor, evaluate, and respond to need, ensuring prevention and early intervention is embedded across the local system.

Requirements
• A strong background in public health, preferably with experience in substance misuse and alcohol.
• Excellent leadership and project management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with partners and stakeholders.
