We are seeking an experienced Special Needs Teacher to join our school in Manchester, where they will work with secondary-aged pupils with autism, severe or profound multiple learning difficulties, and related challenges. The Role

This established SEN school is looking for a dedicated and skilled SEN Teacher to cover a maternity leave. The successful candidate can choose to work in either KS3/KS4, as the class allocations are yet to be decided. We value flexibility and adaptability, but experience in SEN teaching, particularly with ASD and SLD, is essential. The role involves teaching a multi-sensory, informal curriculum to pupils working at lower P levels.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Recent experience teaching in a UK SEN school
  • QTS/QTLS or an equivalent qualification
  • Experience working with students with autism and SLD
  • Experience teaching SEN pupils at KS1/2 level
  • Availability to commit for the full academic year
