Job Summary:

The Academies ICT Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing the future digital strategy and IT management plan for the Trust. This will include line management, training, and further development of the IT team, as well as direct management and oversight of the development and optimisation of the IT infrastructure, systems, and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement the future digital strategy and IT management plan for the Trust.
  2. Responsible for the line management, training, and further development of the IT team.
  3. Direct, manage, and oversee the development and optimisation of the IT infrastructure, systems, and applications.
  4. Provide an efficient, reliable, and professional IT support service across the Trust, managing the needs of the Trust concerning the IT service.
  5. Support the installation of new equipment and perform routine maintenance tasks on Trust ICT equipment including hardware, software, and other peripherals.
  6. Provide support with respect to the use of Audio/Visual hardware including audio recording equipment; lighting systems; sound systems; projectors; interactive whiteboards etc.
  7. Ensure appropriate IT security and safeguarding systems are in place under both child and data protection legislation.
  8. Model the highest professional standards to staff and in all aspects of the role, leading by example, working at all times to the standards as set out in the staff Code of Conduct.

Requirements:

  1. Previous experience from a role in a similar industry.
  2. Experience of managing networks/infrastructure.
  3. Exposure to a range of technologies and applications.
  4. 2 or more years of experience in a senior role.
