About the Role


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at South Moor Lodge Care Home, a leading provider of high-quality care for elderly residents.


Key Responsibilities



  • Provide exceptional care and support to residents, promoting their independence, dignity, and well-being.
  • Lead by example, maintaining high standards of care and ensuring a positive and respectful environment for all residents and colleagues.
  • Complete daily medication rounds, document accurately, and ensure the daily charts are completed to a high standard.
  • Promote good practice in all aspects of care, challenge poor practice, and contribute to a culture of excellence.
  • Investigate complaints and concerns as directed by the Home Manager, ensuring a fair and transparent process.

Requirements



  • Relevant professional qualification, such as a Registered Nurse or NVQ Level 3.
  • Minimum two years' experience as a Care Assistant in a residential or nursing home setting.
  • Awareness of Person-Centred Care Planning principles.
  • Knowledge of the prevention of abuse of vulnerable adults, recognition of signs of abuse, and procedures to follow in the event of an allegation.
  • Ability to work under pressure, lead a team, and demonstrate excellent communication and time management skills.
