Meithrin, a leading provider of early years education, is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Childcare Assistant to join their team.

About the Role

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with young children in a dynamic and supportive environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the setting leader in creating a safe and engaging atmosphere for the children.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Preparing and maintaining the physical space to promote learning and exploration
  2. Organizing a variety of activities that cater to different interests and abilities
  3. Providing warm welcomes and individual attention to each child
  4. Cleaning up resources and ensuring the room is tidy at the end of each session
  5. Engaging with children in Welsh language
  6. Supervising children during the After School Club

We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with young children, has excellent communication skills, and can commit to flexible hours.

Salary: £12 per hour

Hours: 15:00 – 17:00 Thursday with the flexibility to cover when needed.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification or above
  • Relevant experience or currently working towards
