Are you passionate about empowering young people with diverse needs? We are seeking a Teaching Assistant for Young Adults with Special Needs to join our team at Dovetail and Slate. As a key member of our staff, you will work with students aged 16-25, focusing on numeracy skills from Pre-Entry Level up to Level 2.

About the Role
  • Teach numeracy skills to students with special educational needs
  • Foster a supportive learning environment that promotes student engagement and growth
  • Collaborate with other tutors to integrate maths within practical skills environments
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver maths lessons to students at various levels, adapting instruction to meet individual needs
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
  • Promote positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success
Salary and Benefits

Full-Time Equivalent Salary: £31,547 - £32,900 per annum, with potential earnings up to £37,634 based on completed internal training and length of service. Actual Salary: £27,679 - £28,666 per annum, pro-rated, with potential earnings as above.
