About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Non-Medical Prescriber Nurse (NMP) or Pharmacist Prescriber to join our team in Trowbridge. As a community-based healthcare professional, you will be involved in providing support to individuals experiencing difficulties with substance use.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide opiate substitute treatment, alcohol and opiate detoxifications, and relapse prevention medications
  • Contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings, providing robust governance and supporting team learning and development
  • Deliver targeted and opportunistic clinical interventions, including liver elastography, ECGs, and blood-borne virus testing
  • Attend prescribers' meetings, one-to-one clinical supervision, and national prescriber/clinician meetings

Requirements:

  • Qualified Non-Medical Prescriber Nurse (NMP) or Pharmacist Prescriber
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop support packages tailored to individual needs
  • Deep level of empathy, understanding, and patience
