Safeguarding and Attendance Assistant Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Safeguarding and Attendance Assistant to join our team at a top-rated Secondary School in Kensington & Chelsea. The successful candidate will work closely with students, parents, and staff to promote high levels of attendance and safeguard student welfare, contributing to their personal and academic growth.

The role involves monitoring student attendance daily, identifying patterns, and addressing absenteeism issues promptly. The candidate will also collaborate with school staff to ensure safeguarding policies are upheld and provide support to students and families as needed.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Monitoring student attendance and identifying trends.
  • Liaising with parents and guardians to discuss attendance and safeguarding concerns.
  • Developing strategies to enhance student engagement and motivation.
  • Collaborating with school staff to address attendance-related issues.
  • Maintaining accurate attendance records and reports.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and organisational skills, with a proven track record of building positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
