You will provide a frontline one-to-one service for children and young people who have been impacted by domestic abuse, offering person-centred support to help them cope with their experiences.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the impact of domestic abuse on children and young people, and be able to provide a safe and non-judgmental space for them to express themselves.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting vulnerable young people and has the skills and experience to make a real difference in their lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to children and young people who have been impacted by domestic abuse
  • Develop and implement person-centred support plans to help young people cope with their experiences
  • Work closely with other agencies and professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting young people
  • Provide training and awareness-raising sessions to staff and other stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Qualification in a relevant field (e.g. social work, youth work, psychology)
  • Experience of working with children and young people who have been impacted by domestic abuse
  • Strong understanding of the impact of domestic abuse on children and young people
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
