Job Title: Bank Support Worker

About Our Home

Our home, Summergil House, is a stunning school and home on the border of Herefordshire and Powys. Surrounded by 18 acres of fields and woodlands, with its own stream and lake, a swimming pool, sports hall and vast amounts of in and outdoor learning and play opportunities, our home provides a unique and supportive environment for our young people to thrive.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personalised care to each person in their daily activities, including personal care, learning and social interactions.
  • Foster a safe and positive environment, ensuring the emotional and physical well-being of each person.
  • Implement individualised care plans, under the guidance of an incredibly supportive senior team.
  • Support our young people during recreational activities, outings and community integration.
  • Collaborate with the wider team to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Promote independence, self-esteem and confidence in our young people, celebrating their achievements and milestones.

Requirements:
  • A compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Resilience and patience when faced with challenges, adapting to individual needs.
  • A willingness to learn and follow guidance from the team.
  • Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes.
  • Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and occasional night shifts.
  • A Driving license is preferable and access to own transport would be advantageous.
