Training Development Specialist

Elevation Recruitment Group is partnering with a Sheffield-based manufacturing business to find an experienced Training Coordinator.

As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in ensuring employees receive necessary training to operate safely and effectively in their roles. Your responsibilities include identifying training needs, delivering high-quality mobile plant and safety-related training, and maintaining up-to-date training records.

You will help foster a culture of health and safety while ensuring compliance with mandatory training requirements across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging training programs for mobile plant equipment, manual handling, abrasive wheels, and other safety-related topics.
  • Identify training gaps and ensure role-specific training requirements are met by coordinating necessary training to close competency gaps.
  • Maintain accurate training records and a training matrix to track employee competencies.
  • Promote a strong health and safety culture through effective training, safety observations, and interactions with staff.

Qualifications:

  • ITSSAR / RTITB or equivalent instructor's qualification.
  • Manual Handling Techniques Instructor qualification.
  • Abrasive Wheels Instructor qualification.
  • Completion of a 'Train the Trainer' program

Experience:

  • Proven experience in teaching, coaching, or training with the ability to adapt to different learning needs.
  • Experience operating mobile plant equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of forklift trucks and overhead cranes (both theoretical and practical).
  • Excellent organizational skills and proficiency in maintaining training records and documentation.
