Job Title: Payroll Specialist
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team at Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for processing payroll, salary sacrifice, and expenses for allocated accounts.
The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyse data to investigate and resolve payroll enquiries. You will also have experience of processing NHS payroll using ESR and have a good understanding of NHS payroll procedures and legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payroll, salary sacrifice, and expenses for allocated accounts
- Responsible for assisting the Payroll Team Leader in the day-to-day supervision of designated Payroll Administrators
- Provide training to new/less experienced staff on payroll procedures and legislation
- Ensure all payroll deadlines are met while maintaining a high level of accuracy
Requirements:
- CIPP qualification and/or NVQ level 4 qualification and/or equivalent qualification and/or equivalent level of experience within a payroll role
- Proven record of continuous professional development
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience. The estimated salary range is based on the location and job requirements.
