Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team at Portfolio Payroll Limited in St Albans.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled payroll professional to contribute to the success of our company. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately processing monthly payroll, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and statutory requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years' experience working in payroll, preferably in a bureau environment, and advanced Excel skills. They will also have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process monthly payroll for all employees, including calculating salaries, deductions, bonuses, and overtime payments.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with internal policies and statutory requirements.
  • Manage pension scheme administration, including auto-enrolment processes, contributions, and liaison with pension providers.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll legislation and pension regulations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll and pension-related inquiries from employees.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience working in payroll, preferably in a bureau environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in processing multifrequency payroll.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
