Job Title: Instructor of English and Health and Social Care

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic instructor to join our team at Cambian Home Tree School. As an instructor of English and Health and Social Care, you will play a vital role in delivering a broad and enriching curriculum to our students.

About the Role:
  • Implement and deliver a differentiated curriculum for students, supporting a designated curriculum area as appropriate.
  • Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as an instructor.
  • Facilitate a learning experience that provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
  • Contribute to raising standards of student attainment.
  • Share and support the school's responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.
About the School:

Cambian Home Tree School is an independent, co-educational day school that specializes in accommodating students with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties. Our school typically caters for up to 20 students aged between 12-18 years, and each classroom features different learning environments for alternative ways of learning.

Individually tailored educational pathways are created to ensure each student's needs are met. The teaching team is supported by a multi-disciplinary team, including a psychologist, occupational therapist, and therapeutic practitioners.

Responsibilities:

As an instructor of English and Health and Social Care, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and delivering individualized and small group programs.
  • Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support students' educational and therapeutic needs.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum plans.
  • Monitoring and reporting student progress to parents and carers.
Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and build strong relationships with colleagues and students.
  • Experience of working with students with SEMH difficulties.
