Job Title: Instructor of English and Health and Social Care

Location: Wisbech, Cambridgeshire

Hours: 40 hours per week, term time

Salary: £25, per annum

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic instructor to join our team at Cambian Home Tree School. As an instructor of English and Health and Social Care, you will be responsible for developing and delivering individualized and small group programs for our students.

The successful candidate will be part of a supportive team that works across Education, Care, and Therapeutic services, supporting each other's practice to develop specialist services for students with additional and complex educational needs.

About the School:

Cambian Home Tree School is an independent DfE-registered, co-educational day school that specializes in accommodating students with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties.

The school typically caters for up to 20 students aged between 12-18 years old, and each classroom features different learning environments for alternative ways of learning. Individually tailored educational pathways are created to ensure each student's needs are met.

Responsibilities:

  • To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum for students and to support a designated curriculum area as appropriate.
  • To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as an instructor.
  • To facilitate and encourage a learning experience that provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
  • To contribute to raising standards of student attainment.
  • To share and support the school's responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will have to meet the person specification in order to be offered this post. Cambian is committed to Safeguarding and protecting the young people and service users within our care. All candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and reference checks.

Cambian will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates as part of a safeguarding check. This check will be purely based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children.
