Job Title: Mess Attendant (Dining Hall Attendant)

The role of the Mess Attendant (Dining Hall Attendant) is to ensure a safe and healthy environment for customers by maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the dining facility.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Pot and Pan Cleaning: Clean and sanitize pots and pans to prevent the spread of foodborne illnesses
  • Dishwashing: Wash and sanitize all dishware and eating utensils during and after meals
  • Replenishment Services: Set up and replenish dining table condiments, plates, bowls, cups, glasses, flatware, napkins, and serving trays before each serving
  • Food Serving Assistance: Assist with the serving of cooked food, dessert, pre-cut salad, and salad enhancements provided by the Dining Facility Manager
  • Maintaining Cleanliness: Maintain the cleanliness of areas that immediately affect customer service, including the dining facility
  • Floor Cleaning: Clean floors to ensure no visible dirt or dust remains, including floor mats or runners, corners, behind doors, or under furniture and equipment
  • Spot Floor Cleaning: Remove food spills and debris as needed
  • Cleaning Entranceways: Clean all entranceways and doors, including outside matting, trash cans, and cigarette receptacles as needed
  • Sanitizing Equipment: Dishes, pots, pans, kitchen, and dining areas will be cleaned and sanitized in accordance with the Tri-Service Food Code 2019 Equipment and Utensil Sanitation
Compensation:

$40,000 - $60,000 per year
