About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Building Design and Contract Specialist to join our Estates/Capital Design Team as a full-time Architectural Projects Officer.

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking the day-to-day duties of Lead Designer and Project Manager in various Capital Projects, from feasibility stage through to the detailed design and final account stages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Co-ordinate a team of construction professionals in the delivery of Discretionary Capital Projects.
  • Produce detailed design, specification and contract documentation for building projects in respect of all Discretionary Capital developments together with technical advice required by the Discretionary Capital Projects Manager or Director of Estates, Facilities and Capital Management.
  • Carry out project management and co-ordinate both the new building and refurbishment projects within the Health Board's Discretionary Capital Programme for appointed Design Teams.

The salary for this role is estimated at £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
