Urology Specialist

The Hywel Dda University Health Board is a leading provider of NHS healthcare services in Wales. We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Consultant Urologist to join our team.

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a dedicated and passionate urologist to work with our multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our urology service.

• To provide expert clinical care to patients with urological conditions, working closely with specialist nurses and physician colleagues within the Urology service.
• To participate in the emergency on-call rota and offer acute inpatient assessment and treatment, delivering outpatient clinics and procedures as required.
• To work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, communicating clearly and safely with patients, families, and colleagues.
• To contribute to the development of our urology service, including the initiation, progression, and completion of audit and research projects.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced urologist who can demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• A further relevant degree or diploma.
• On the Specialist Register with the GMC as a specialist in Urology.
• Competent in all core urology procedures.
• Evidence of teaching and training of post/undergraduate medical staff.
• Evidence of initiating, progressing, and completing audit and research projects.
