We are seeking a dedicated Youth Support Worker to join our team at Randstad Care. As a Youth Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment for young people aged 11-25 who have faced challenging life circumstances.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Building positive and trusting relationships with young people, creating a safe and non-judgmental environment for them to express themselves.
  • Offering emotional support and counselling to help young people navigate challenges and overcome personal obstacles.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of individual care plans, tailored to meet each young person's unique needs and goals.
  • Encouraging educational attainment and providing educational support where necessary.
  • Collaborating with other team members and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to the young person's care.
  • Monitoring and evaluating progress, maintaining accurate records, and reporting on the young person's development.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a care setting with young people.
  • Knowledge of cognitive behavioural approaches, attachment theory, and child protection policy.
  • Full driving licence.
  • Obtained SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent.
