Perinatal Mental Health Clinical Lead

The NHS is seeking an experienced mental health professional to take on a challenging role as the Perinatal Mental Health Clinical Lead in our Essex Perinatal Service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing our community MDT (Multidisciplinary Team) in the Southeast Essex area. This includes taking management and clinical responsibility for the team, working closely with senior medical nursing social and clinical staff, and developing relationships and working in partnership with statutory agencies at a management level.
About the RoleWe estimate that the salary for this position will be around £55,000-£65,000 per annum, depending on experience. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
As the Clinical Team Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the team, including allocating cases, monitoring practitioners' workload, and ensuring effective implementation of workload management tools. You will also be required to chair Care Planning and Review meetings for clients who present with significant risks and complex needs.
The ideal candidate will have a degree-level qualification or equivalent, with evidence of continuing professional development in mental health services. They will also have a proven track record of working in community mental health services, with experience of managing and supervising staff. In addition, they will need to be able to communicate clearly and effectively through formal presentation to others.
