Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled Clinical Safety Officer to manage and ensure the safety and effectiveness of our health products. This role is crucial in maintaining compliance with the UK Standard DCB0129, which pertains to Patient Safety Risk Management in Health Software Manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of functional designs to pinpoint potential hazards by performing Hazard Assessments in accordance with Magentus's Clinical Safety Management Process and DCB0129 compliance.
  • Collaborate with product managers and development teams throughout the product lifecycle, particularly during sprint reviews, to promote safety in design and development.
  • Create a comprehensive 'Safety Case' to illustrate that all reasonable measures have been taken to adhere to the ALARP principle prior to the launch of each product and its subsequent updates.
  • Maintain the Hazard Registers for all Magentus products.
  • Execute clinical risk assessments for incidents reported through the customer service desk.
  • Continuously review and enhance the Clinical Safety Management Process to ensure ongoing compliance with DCB0129.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated clinical experience and expertise in clinical risk assessment as part of a Clinical Safety function in the Healthcare Software sector, specifically regarding DCB0129.
  • Knowledge of the NHS environment, regulations, and expectations is highly advantageous.
  • Experience in Maternity or Radiology is preferred but not mandatory.
