Position Overview

We are looking for a qualified Clinical Safety Specialist to manage and ensure the safety and effectiveness of our health technology products. This role involves critical safety functions throughout the organization, ensuring compliance with the UK Standard DCB0129 regarding Patient Safety Risk Management in Health Software Manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of functional designs to pinpoint potential hazards by performing Hazard Assessments in accordance with Magentus's Clinical Safety Management Process and DCB0129 compliance.
  • Collaborate with product managers and development teams during the product lifecycle, particularly during sprint reviews, to promote safety in design and development.
  • Create a comprehensive 'Safety Case' to validate that all reasonable efforts have been made to adhere to the ALARP principle prior to the release of each product and its subsequent updates.
  • Maintain the Hazard Registers for all Magentus products.
  • Assess clinical risks associated with incidents reported through the customer service channels.
  • Continuously review and enhance the Clinical Safety Management Process to ensure ongoing compliance with DCB0129.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated clinical experience and expertise in clinical risk assessment as part of a Clinical Safety function for DCB0129 within the Healthcare Software sector.
  • Familiarity with the NHS environment, regulations, and expectations is highly desirable.
  • Experience in Maternity or Radiology is preferred but not mandatory.
