The Role
The purpose of the Clinical Safety Officer is to manage and oversee the assurance of safety-related health IT software. This involves ensuring the product meets required safety standards, as well as any products and services delivered in partnership with external suppliers and organizations.

Key Responsibilities
Ensure all product safety-related risks are formally documented, appropriately risk-assessed, and mitigated.
Regularly review risks identified and monitor mitigation actions.
Manage and review the clinical risk procedure, ensuring policy is up to date.
Liaise with Learning and Development to ensure relevant staff have sufficient training pertinent to their role.
Lead the Clinical Advisory Group (CAG) for Magentus EMEA.
Attend Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings to advise on the triage of any clinical risks raised.
Sign-off and monitor mitigation of digital clinical risks.
Ensure up-to-date hazard logs and regular risk assessment reviews as appropriate.

Requirements
A relevant postgraduate qualification and experience in IT healthcare/clinical will be highly regarded. Previous clinical experience and expertise in a clinical risk assessment as part of a Clinical Safety function for DCB0129/DCB0160 within the Healthcare Software Industry are also essential. Ability to perform functional and clinical risk assessments competently is required.
