Safety Governance and Compliance Manager

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Safety Governance and Compliance Manager to join our team at North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust. As a critical member of our organisation, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of safety governance and compliance across our services.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain effective safety governance frameworks, processes, and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide expert advice on safety governance and compliance matters to senior management and staff, identifying areas for improvement.
- Lead the implementation of strategic safety initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, promoting a culture of safety excellence throughout the organisation.
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- A degree-level qualification in a related field (e.g., safety governance, compliance) or equivalent experience.
- Extensive knowledge of UK health and safety regulations, including the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and associated regulations.
- Proven expertise in safety governance and compliance, with experience in developing and implementing effective safety strategies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
