Safety and Governance Specialist

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Medical Device Safety Officer to join our team at Liverpool Women's NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our organization and contribute to the safe use of medical devices.
About the Role:
The Medical Device Safety Officer will be responsible for providing expert advice on medical device management, legislation, and regulatory compliance. They will also support healthcare staff in the safe use of medical devices and advise on trust policy and process for medical devices. This is a key role in promoting and improving the safe use of medical devices in our trust.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective policies and procedures for medical device management.
- Provide training and guidance to healthcare staff on the safe use of medical devices.
- Conduct risk assessments on medical devices and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need suitable qualifications and/or experience to provide professional advice relating to medical device management, legislation, and regulatory compliance. Sound knowledge of statutory, regulatory, and governance obligations relating to medical equipment management, acquisition, usage, and upkeep is also required. Leadership skills to manage staff working with a wide range of medical equipment are essential. Awareness of NHS and medical devices requirements is a must.
