Job Title: Community Consultant Psychiatrist

The Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Sarum Community Mental Health Team (CMHT). As a key member of the multi-disciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing expert advice and assessment of patients under the Working Adult CMHT service, collaborating closely with local services and GPs.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct urgent and routine psychiatric assessments to ensure comprehensive care for service users.
  • Liaise with GPs to discuss medical monitoring results and provide informed guidance.
Requirements:
  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • Experience of assessing and treating patients in a community setting.
  • Ability to assess and treat psychiatric problems in Adults of working age and manage crisis situations.
  • Commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate learning and teaching.
  • Experience in research projects and publication, as well as audit projects.
  • Evidence of management/leadership skills training.
