Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced pharmacist to join our clinical mental health pharmacy team in Brent. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mental health pharmacy and excellent leadership skills.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality clinical pharmacy services to patients with mental health issues.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide expert advice on medicines management.
  • Lead on clinical supervision and CPD for Band 6/7 pharmacists within the team.
  • Contribute to the development of policy and procedures affecting the use of pharmaceuticals at local and trust-wide levels.
Requirements
  • Vocational Master's Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced theoretical knowledge acquired through Diploma (Higher Degree) level training.
  • Certificate in Pharmacy Practice or equivalent training/experience.
  • Registered as a practicing pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
Desirable
  • Accredited Membership of RPS Faculty/Credentialed Membership of College of Mental Health Pharmacy.
  • Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.
  • Non-medical prescriber or working towards.
Working Arrangements

The post holder will work across traditional boundaries as part of a fully integrated multidisciplinary team. They will be responsible for managing and making appropriate referrals to other members of the team and within the pharmacy department.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex and potentially sensitive information. They will also have teaching and presentation skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
