Safety Expert Job Description

This role involves working with our Materials Assurance team to ensure the safety and quality of materials used on our submarine build line. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the safety assessment of proposed build support materials and maintaining accurate and up-to-date material information records.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with material proposers and safety assessment SMEs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Support audits of stores and build environment to identify potential risks and areas for improvement
  • Discuss and identify required testing on materials and provide test samples as needed
  • Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries
Requirements
  • Good practical understanding of mechanical systems, including seals and gaskets
  • Experience with stakeholder management and communication
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical information
Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of approximately £38,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a generous salary, we offer a range of benefits, including a pension scheme, annual leave incentive, and share incentive plan.
