Contract Management and Performance Officer

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Energy from Waste Contract, ensuring best value and compliance with regulatory requirements. This will involve reviewing and liaising with stakeholders, handling contractor enquiries and claims, and working with Procurement and Legal Services to produce compliant documentation.
The role will also involve contributing to the development of service area policy, including health and safety, by advising and making recommendations on operational and financial issues concerning the waste service. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to develop strong networks across the Council, ensuring the contract delivers at every level.
In the longer term, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to diversify their focus across other contracts within the wider team, allowing them to contribute and add value to the organization.
About YouThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in contract management and performance, with experience in managing complex contracts and developing strong relationships with stakeholders. They will also have excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills, as well as a keen eye for detail and the ability to think creatively.
The successful candidate will be able to form and develop long-term relationships with internal and external partners, and will be able to work collaboratively as part of a close-knit team. They will also be able to work autonomously, with a high degree of ownership and accountability for their work.

The team is based in the Energy from Waste Facility at North Hykeham, and the successful candidate will be expected to work closely with the team to achieve their objectives. The role will involve attending meetings with contractors and suppliers, and will require flexibility and adaptability.
