Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Veolia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the maintenance and repair of dewatering equipment and ancillaries on sewage and clean water treatment facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the maintenance and repair of dewatering equipment and ancillaries on sewage and clean water treatment facilities.
  • Work as the senior team leader of a team of other mechanical engineers and mechanical fitters.
  • Carry out complex and detailed asset overhauls and replacements.
  • Undertake complex mechanical repairs and modifications to dewatering equipment, pumps, pipework, valves, and other ancillary equipment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in an industrial environment.
  • Experience leading mechanical installation, maintenance, or servicing works.
  • Experience in leading the replacement of assets and maintaining the equipment typically found on water and sewage treatment plants.
  • NVQ or a recognised apprenticeship in mechanical engineering maintenance at Level 3.
