About the Role

AECOM's Water Engineering business is seeking a Senior Hydraulic Engineer to lead our Specialist Hydraulics team and contribute to our exciting portfolio of multimillion-pound UK Water Industry projects.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in hydraulic design within the UK Water Industry and comprehensive knowledge of hydraulic design principles. They will also have experience collaborating with other disciplines, such as Process, Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical.

  • Designing water and wastewater treatment works using HADES and bespoke analysis where necessary.
  • Transient analysis and design of surge suppression systems.

As a Senior Hydraulic Engineer, you will be responsible for leading professionals, leveraging their collective expertise to deliver innovative solutions on a diverse range of projects that meet the challenges of today and tomorrow.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. AECOM offers a wide array of compensation, benefits and well-being programs to meet the diverse needs of its employees and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading a team of Hydraulic Engineers to design and develop water and wastewater treatment plans and pipelines.
  • Collaborating with other disciplines, such as Process, Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical to deliver complex projects.
  • Preparing design reports that detail the calculations/analysis performed and their key findings.
  • Estimating and budgeting man-hours for design tasks.
