As a Special Education Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs in schools across Devon and Cornwall.

The Supply Register is working in partnership with multi-academy trusts to provide this opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist classroom teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and accommodations for students with SEN.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEN, both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Help students develop essential life skills, independence, and confidence.

You will work closely with the schools SENCO to ensure students receive the tailored assistance they require.

Salary: £20-£25 per hour

A competitive salary based on experience and qualifications is offered. You can expect to earn between £20-£25 per hour.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children or young adults with special educational needs is desirable.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the diverse needs of students with SEN.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field are advantageous but not essential.
  • Willingness to undergo relevant training and continuous professional development.
