This is a unique opportunity for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to take on a challenging Operations Manager role at Thomas Lee Recruitment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and a proven track record in managing complex projects.

The company has a strong presence in the Lifting and Moving sector, supplying services and specialized equipment across the UK. As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the operations, from initial quotations to project completion, ensuring commercial viability and efficient financial control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and control mechanical engineering works across the UK.
  • Ensure projects are executed profitably from quotation to completion.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and financial control team to optimize operations.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Manage and mentor a team of engineers and technicians.
  • Resolve technical issues and provide expert guidance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in a managerial role within the lifting and moving industry.
  • Proven track record of successful project management and financial control.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Engineering [relevant software, e.g., CAD, project management tools].
