This permanent role at Norwich City College offers a unique opportunity to work closely with students and their families to achieve better outcomes. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting student wellbeing and academic achievement.
The position involves monitoring attendance, punctuality, and academic progress using college databases and information from subject tutors and PALs. Regular individual tutorials are conducted to help students reflect on their progress, set SMART targets, and develop an action plan.
Maintaining accurate records and preparing reports, including progress reports for parents and employers, is also a key aspect of the role. Close liaison with course teams ensures that tutorials are fully integrated into course delivery and review.
Key responsibilities include assisting students to improve their learning and performance by developing their study skills and offering impartial guidance on future plans. Referral to other staff and agencies is necessary when required, and actively encouraging students to participate in extra-curricular enrichment activities is also essential.
This vital and rewarding role requires an enhanced Adult and Child Workforce DBS Check and registration with the DBS Update Service. A salary of £24,642 per annum (actual) reflects the importance of this position in supporting student success at Norwich City College.
