About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Service Engineer to join our team at Power Electrics, a leading provider of diesel generator hire, service, and parts. As a Service Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our large containerised generators, which are used to power various industrial and commercial applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on large containerised generators (500 KVA and above) to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Drive forklifts in the yard as required to move equipment and supplies.
  • Carry out servicing and repairs to Power Electrics and customers' equipment off-site as needed.
  • Participate in our engineer's call-out rota, which involves responding to emergency situations and performing repairs on-site.
  • Comply with the Company Health & Safety Policy and maintain a clean and organised work environment.

Requirements:

  • Possess a relevant qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Diesel Fitting/Plant Engineering.
  • Hold a full driving licence with towing categories (preferred).
  • A Forklift Truck Licence is advantageous but not essential, as training can be provided.
  • Previous experience working in a workshop environment is desirable.
  • Holder of a CSCS Card (preferred) but not essential, as training could be given.
