Job Title: Administrative Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Support Specialist to join our team at a large public sector client within the Legal Sector.

This is a fully on-site role at South Tyneside Magistrates - NE33 1RG, requiring Monday to Friday attendance with 37 hours per week.

The successful candidate will need to pass an enhanced DBS check and will be based at Teesside Crown Court, potentially working at other sites from time to time.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing court clerk support and creating accurate court log reports
  • Supervising and ushering vulnerable adults and children into the correct hearings
  • Using own initiative to action tasks based on the outcome of the hearing without being instructed
  • Liaising with Legal Advisors, Judiciary, and members of the public
  • Updating system databases and maintaining records
  • Performing other general administrative duties

For this role, we estimate the salary to be around £11.44 per hour.

Requirements:
  • Excellent IT and data entry skills
  • Ability to cope with hearing often very distressing information
  • Strong communication skills and confidence in dealing with difficult situations
  • Ability to identify, prioritize, and plan effectively
  • Candidates with a transferable DBS on the update system would be highly advantageous
