Equities Trading System Engineer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Equities Trading System Engineer to join our team at Barclays Bank PLC. As an Equities Trading System Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting the bank's critical technology infrastructure and resolving complex technical issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for the service management function to resolve complex issues for clients.
  • Execute preventative maintenance tasks on hardware and software, and utilize monitoring tools to identify and address potential issues.
  • Maintain a knowledge base containing detailed documentation of resolved cases for future reference.
  • Analysis of system logs, error messages, and user reports to identify root causes of hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Automation, monitoring enhancements, capacity management, resiliency, business continuity management, and front office specific support.

  • Advise key stakeholders on functional and cross-functional areas of impact and alignment.
  • Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the organization's functions to contribute to achieving business goals.
