Neurointensive Care Consultant

St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant in Neurointensive Care to join our team. As a key member of our Critical Care department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading a multidisciplinary team, and contributing to the development of our services.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a Consultant to join our Neurointensive Care Unit, which provides care for neurosurgical, neurology, and stroke patients. You will work closely with our team of experienced clinicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to deliver exceptional patient care and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary team delivering Critical Care
- Engage in associated Service Development, Clinical Governance, and Quality Improvement work
- Contribute to the education and supervision of students and trainees
- Support Directorate-wide Research activities
- Contribute to the clinical management of the base unit
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Evidence of successful completion of a formal training program in Intensive Care Medicine
- EDIC and/or FFICM and/or equivalent
- Enhanced training/experience in neurointensive care, and a track record of clinical interest in this subspecialty area
- Specialist registration (within the next 6 months) and a valid license to practise with the General Medical Council
- Educational supervision training that fulfils the Trust's minimum requirements
- Valid Advanced Life Support certification
