About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a Consultant to join our Neurointensive Care Unit, which provides care for neurosurgical, neurology, and stroke patients. You will work closely with our team of experienced clinicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to deliver exceptional patient care and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary team delivering Critical Care
- Engage in associated Service Development, Clinical Governance, and Quality Improvement work
- Contribute to the education and supervision of students and trainees
- Support Directorate-wide Research activities
- Contribute to the clinical management of the base unit
We are looking for a Consultant with:
Evidence of successful completion of a formal training program in Intensive Care MedicineEDIC and/or FFICM and/or equivalentEnhanced training/experience in neurointensive care, and a track record of clinical interest in this subspecialty areaSpecialist registration (within the next 6 months) and a valid license to practise with the General Medical CouncilEducational supervision training that fulfils the Trust's minimum requirementsValid Advanced Life Support certificationWhat We OfferAs a Consultant at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, with access to a range of benefits and development opportunities.
