Local Government Administrator

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the role of Local Government Administrator for North Thoresby, Grainsby & Waithe Parish Council.

This is a part-time position, requiring 15 hours of work per week. The salary will be based on NJC LC2 salary point scales 18-23 (£27,910 - £32,210 per annum, equivalent to approximately £15.29 per hour) depending on relevant experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities:
  1. Council Meeting Attendance: Participate in 12 council meetings per year, plus any extraordinary meetings.
  2. Financial Oversight: Manage the council's financial accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  3. Administrative Tasks: Utilize Email, Microsoft Word, and Excel to streamline tasks and improve efficiency.
  4. Guidance and Support: Provide expert advice to the council, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  5. Asset Maintenance: Coordinate with the Village Hall Caretaker and oversee the council's assets.

This role requires prior experience in local council administration, given the council's new membership. The successful candidate will work primarily from home, attending evening meetings and occasional daytime/evening events.

The Parish Council will provide a designated laptop, printer/scanner, and mobile phone. Additionally, you will have access to the following benefits:
