Social Work Position in Cumbria

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Child Protection Team in Cumbria.

The successful candidate will be working in a busy and supportive team who assess and work with vulnerable children and their families, intervening where necessary to provide early support. As part of this Authority's Child Protection Service, you will be working in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, informed by the values and principles of social care.

You will be responsible for making assessments and decisions about the most appropriate interventions, using your professional knowledge and experience to achieve optimum outcomes for service users. Using best practice, you will strive to provide positive and sustainable results of your interventions.

This role requires you to have a passion for supporting children and their families to ensure they thrive and flourish. Our priority is to protect the most vulnerable and to be as efficient as possible.

We are looking for a Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England, with a Creative, flexible, and forward-thinking approach. You will need to have excellent mediation and negotiation skills on behalf of service users, and be highly skilled at building meaningful relationships with children and families.
