Neurodevelopmental Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Neurodevelopmental Specialist to join our team at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Neurodevelopmental Care Pathway team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality clinical assessments and treatment plans for children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, including psychiatric and physical investigations, to diagnose and develop treatment plans for children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, psychologists, and mental health practitioners, to deliver individualized treatment plans.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with families and carers to ensure effective communication and support.
- Participate in regular division meetings and clinical governance meetings to contribute to the development of our Neurodevelopmental Care Pathway.
- 12 years post-qualification experience in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, with significant experience in neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Full registration with the GMC and approved under S12 or able to achieve within 6 months of appointment.
- Excellent knowledge and experience of neurodevelopmental disorders, with a strong understanding of the theory and practice related to this field.
- Excellent clinical skills, using a bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
