Neurodevelopmental Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Neurodevelopmental Specialist to join our team at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Neurodevelopmental Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), you will play a vital role in providing high-quality specialist clinical assessments and treatment plans for children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, including psychiatric and physical investigations, to diagnose and develop treatment plans for children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including consultants, specialty doctors, nurses, psychologists, and mental health practitioners, to deliver effective treatment plans.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with families and carers to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the child's needs and to provide support and guidance throughout the treatment process.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research, guidelines, and best practices in neurodevelopmental disorders to ensure the delivery of evidence-based care.
- 12 years post-qualification experience in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, with significant experience in neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Full registration with the GMC and a strong understanding of the GMC's guidelines and standards.
- Excellent knowledge and experience of neurodevelopmental disorders, including diagnosis, treatment, and management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, young people, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
