We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Alternate Provision Teacher/Assistant to join our team at a secondary school in Pudsey. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing tailored support to students in need of alternate provision, working closely with colleagues to ensure the academic and personal development of each student.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lesson Delivery: Design and deliver engaging and supportive lessons to students in alternate provision, promoting academic and social-emotional growth.
  • Classroom Management: Provide effective behaviour and classroom management to maintain a positive learning environment, ensuring students feel safe and supported.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with other staff members to develop and implement individualized learning plans, addressing the unique needs of each student.
  • Student Support: Offer one-to-one support to students, helping them overcome challenges and stay on track with their academic goals.
  • Lesson Planning: Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons, focusing on both academic and social-emotional growth, and contribute to the development of a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is essential.
  • DBS: An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one) is required.
  • Experience: Experience working with Year 7 - Year 11 students is essential.
  • Skills: Strong classroom management and behavioural management skills, with a passion for helping students who require alternative learning approaches.
