Job Summary:

We are looking for a Supervising Social Worker who is enthusiastic, patient, and reliable to support our Foster Carers in providing high-quality care to children and young people. The successful candidate will be responsible for recruiting, assessing, and monitoring the suitability of Foster Carers, as well as providing regular supervision and support visits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, assess, and monitor the suitability of Foster Carers.
  • Provide and record regular supervision in line with the agency's operational standards.
  • Support Foster Carers to evidence their competence against training standards.
  • Contribute to Foster Carer Annual Reviews within required timescales.
  • Ensure that Foster Carers have an accurate and up-to-date Foster Care Agreement.
  • Identify learning and development needs.
  • Undertake initial visits and carer assessments.
  • Attend meetings to support Foster Carers, children, and young people.
  • Assist in the delivery of training.
  • Out of Hours duty system on a rota basis - £35 per day.
Requirements:
  • CQSW, Diploma in Social Work, or BA in Social Work (Essential).
  • Full UK driving license and access to a reliable car with business insurance (Essential).
  • Relevant Post-Qualifying Awards (Desirable).
