About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Social Worker to join our Fostering Service team at Hampshire County Council. As a Supervising Social Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the best outcomes for children and young people by supporting and supervising foster carers and connected carers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality support and supervision to foster carers under the requirements of the Fostering Regulations 2011 and ensure they remain in line with the National Minimum Standards in fostering.
  • Cover a duty phone line when required and respond to calls, which may include the need for a visit to foster carers.
  • Produce high-quality, analytical and reflective supervision records and household review reports.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to achieve the best outcomes for children and young people.
Requirements
  • Experience of working with children and families in a social work setting.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including occasional evening and weekend work.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
