Pharmacy Technician Trainee Position

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our pharmacy team as a Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician. This two-year fixed-term training contract will provide you with the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in hospital pharmacy, working alongside experienced professionals and studying towards a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in the Principles and Practices for Pharmacy Technicians.
Main Responsibilities- You will be responsible for undertaking medicines management duties at ward level, including medicines reconciliation, assessing patients' own medicines for suitability, and ordering medication for individual patients.
- You will participate in a comprehensive training program, covering all aspects of hospital pharmacy, including placements in stores and procurement, aseptics, clinical trials, outpatient pharmacy receiving, validating, and issuing medicines, as well as community pharmacy, mental health, and GP placements.
- You will study virtually via Bradford College on a day release to achieve the required qualification.
- 5 GCSE Passes (Level 4 or Grade C and above) must include Maths, English Language, Biology, and Chemistry subjects or Dual/Combined Award.
- NVQ level 2 Pharmacy Services or BTEC level 2 certificate in the Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Support Staff.
The salary for this role is £26,530 - £29,114 per annum, pro rata, based on a 24-month fixed-term contract under Annex 21 of Band 4.
