Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant - Medicines Management to join our team at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our pharmacy department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient management of medicines across our hospitals.

The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to providing excellent patient care and will work closely with our pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to maintain high standards of practice. You will be responsible for checking the suitability of patients' own medicines for use whilst in hospital, ordering medicines for patients to use during their stay, and transferring medicines from pharmacy and ward to ward. In addition, you will provide information to patients and nursing staff about medicines and pharmacy services, and contribute to maintaining safe storage of medicines in the department and on the ward.

Key Responsibilities:
• Check the suitability of patients' own medicines for use whilst in hospital
• Order medicines for patients to use during their stay in hospital
• Transfer medicines from pharmacy and ward to ward
• Provide information to patients and nursing staff about medicines and pharmacy services
• Maintain safe storage of medicines in the department and on the ward

Requirements:
• 2 GCSE Passes Grade C or above (or equivalent) (Maths and English)
• Level 2 Certificate in the Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Support Staff (Qualification) or equivalent OR A General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) accredited support staff dispensing training course OR working towards either of the above or be willing to complete these
• Leadership/ Management Certificate

Salary: £21,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience
