Healthcare Support Specialist

Cornerstone Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team at Marula Lodge. Our facility provides high-quality care to 42 residents across four specialized units, supporting individuals with complex needs and offering a comfortable living environment.
We prioritize individualized care, focusing on the whole person and their unique challenges rather than just their diagnosis. Our approach has earned us a GOOD rating from the CQC.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- A minimum of one year's experience working in care within the UK (essential)
- Experience working with adults presenting with complex needs, including challenging behaviors and mental health needs
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
- A caring and empathetic approach to residents and their families
This position offers a 7 out of 14 day working pattern, allowing for a healthier work-life balance. The schedule consists of:
- Week A: 3 days (Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday) - 07:45 to 19:45
- Week B: 4 days (Monday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday) - 07:45 to 19:45
Total average hours worked per week: 38.5
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Healthcare Support Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting daily living activities, such as personal care and mealtimes
- Observing resident progress and reporting changes in condition or care needs
- Respecting residents' rights to choice, privacy, and dignity
- Communicating effectively with staff and other members of the team
