About the Role

Cornerstone Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team at Marula Lodge. Our facility provides high-quality care to 42 residents across four specialized units, supporting individuals with complex needs and offering a comfortable living environment.

We prioritize individualized care, focusing on the whole person and their unique challenges rather than just their diagnosis. Our approach has earned us a GOOD rating from the CQC.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of one year's experience working in care within the UK (essential)
  • Experience working with adults presenting with complex needs, including challenging behaviors and mental health needs
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
  • A caring and empathetic approach to residents and their families
Working Pattern

This position offers a 7 out of 14 day working pattern, allowing for a healthier work-life balance. The schedule consists of:

  • Week A: 3 days (Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday) - 07:45 to 19:45
  • Week B: 4 days (Monday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday) - 07:45 to 19:45

Total average hours worked per week: 38.5

Key Responsibilities

As a Healthcare Support Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting daily living activities, such as personal care and mealtimes
  • Observing resident progress and reporting changes in condition or care needs
  • Respecting residents' rights to choice, privacy, and dignity
  • Communicating effectively with staff and other members of the team

The estimated salary for this role is around £23,000-£28,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
