Job Description

The Pricing Manager will play a crucial role in delivering significant improvements to our pricing models, capability, and analysis. You'll lead a team of Analysts, empowering them to be pioneers in the pricing space and make a meaningful impact. With a strong focus on data-driven decision-making, you'll use technical skills and experience to drive business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and coordinate the use of advanced modelling and analytical techniques to identify and implement groundbreaking improvements to our pricing algorithms.
  • Utilize deep knowledge of pricing, modelling, and price optimisation to deliver uplift in model outcomes.
  • Own major modelling projects from inception to implementation, ensuring seamless execution and delivery.
  • Lead the identification of challenges and opportunities by interpreting data and presenting actionable insights.
  • Own sign-off meetings with senior stakeholders, gaining approval for recommended changes and taking responsibility for clear articulation of business benefits and risks.
  • Manage, empower, and develop a team of Analysts through mentoring, coaching, and upskilling on technical abilities.
  • Ensure all implemented models adhere to regulatory and fair value measures, escalating and owning any breaches.

Requirements

  • A passion for data analysis and drawing meaningful insights to inform business decisions.
  • Experience in a Pricing Manager role with extensive knowledge of the UK Motor or Home insurance products/markets.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, lead, and mentor a team.
  • Significant experience in delivering statistical models, GLMs, GBMs, or other relevant techniques.
  • Strong governance awareness to ensure models adhere to regulatory and fair value measures.
  • Experience with Radar and other insurance pricing software, such as Emblem.
  • Good experience with statistical software, including SQL, SAS, or Python.
